Department Overview Our Minneapolis neonatal float team is an integral part of nursing services provided within our neonatal community - from the special care nursery up through our level III and level IV neonatal intensive care units. Team members are able to apply specific skills sets to these departments and provide additional resources as needs are identified. The team is a valuable resource for the entire neonatal hospital system. Our nursing care team consists of registered nurses, clinical support associates and unit operations coordinators. RNs hired into this area would support our Special Care Nursery, Infant Care Center and Neonatal Intensive Care units. Children’s Minneapolis is an ACS Level I trauma center and our PICU cares for children who have experienced a wide range of traumatic events. Many of our patients require assisted ventilation. We also utilize extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) when needed. Our patient population requires complex care, including hemodynamic monitoring, critical medication management, maintenance of systemic perfusion and management of organ failure. The Minneapolis clinic is a hospital-based pediatric primary care clinic offering outpatient services to a population of patients (infants through adolescents) from urban and suburban areas of the surrounding metro areas. Families receiving care in the clinic speak a variety of primary languages. The clinic provides a range of services, from well-child care to walk-in care, as well as educational and outreach programs. Providers care for children with complex medical and psychosocial issues, manage acute and chronic childhood illnesses, and provide parental guidance for childhood development and nutrition. We offer wrap-around services in our clinic, including Integrated Behavioral Health providers, interpreter services, a clinical pharmacist on-site, access to Adolescent Health and Gender health providers, along with resource navigators through a program called Community Connect. In the clinic, we see approximately 20,000 visits annually staffed by 9 physicians and 5 nurse practitioners. Advanced practice providers provide a range of services, from well-child care, sports physicals, management of acute and chronic illnesses, and addressing nutritional, developmental, and behavioral concerns. Providers should have a particular interest in providing trauma-informed, weight-inclusive, and culturally competent care. Due to the diverse needs of the populations we serve, proficient in Somali or Spanish is preferred. Department Overview Our Minneapolis critical care float team is an integral part of nursing services provided within our critical care community. Team members work within our pediatric intensive care unit and cardiovascular intensive care unit. Staff are able to expand their skills over time to provide support in other areas, including the emergency department and post-anesthesia care unit. Our critical care units care for children with a variety of acute and chronic illnesses, including those with respiratory, neurological and cardiovascular origins. Department Overview The Anesthesia Department provides all types of anesthesia services to children on an inpatient and/or outpatient basis on the Minneapolis, St. Paul and West Campuses. Additional services include: Respiratory and airway management and professional consultation for patients requiring unusual pain management techniques or analgesic nerve blocks. In order to minimize patient anxiety and fear, parental involvement during the induction of anesthesia, whenever safely possible, is encouraged. Position Summary Children's Minnesota's Anesthesia Department is seeking Full-time (or .8 FTE) CRNAs to join our busy practice. Our independent pediatric hospital system provides a variety of anesthesia services to children on the Minneapolis and Minnetonka West Campuses in both an inpatient and outpatient setting. We offer a case mixture that includes cardiac, neuro, level 1 trauma and neonatal. This position would cover a mix of 8-hour shifts working 7am-3:30pm and 10-hour shifts working 7am-5pm. Children’s CRNA program provides coverage for up to 15 OR’s (9 main ORs, 3 cardiac ORs, and 3 ORs at Minnetonka) per day and over 19,000 surgical cases per year. The CRNA’s also provide 24/7 OR coverage to our Level 1 Pediatric Trauma program. In addition to the OR, our CRNA staff plays an integral role in ancillary services as needed throughout the hospital. CRNA’s are the first responders for all code blue and Level 1 traumas for airway management. Current MN state RN License. Current BLS Certification. PALS and/or ACLS certified or eligible. We are seeking a Casual Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join a bustling pediatric rehabilitation medicine program. Our rehab department consists of over 150 physical therapists, occupational therapists , and speech-language pathologists, who work collaboratively with a pediatric physiatrist and physiatry nurse practitioner. Rehabilitation Services are provided at both our Minneapolis and St Paul Hospitals as well as six outpatient therapy clinics. Children’s Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine program brings together outpatient support for children with complex needs and dedicated inpatient consultative care to support the acute needs of hospitalized patients. Ambulatory clinics at Children’s MN include primary care clinics that are the longest running Health Care Home in Minnesota for children with complex chronic health care needs; spina bifida clinic; NICU follow up clinics; and post-fetal (in utero) clinical care. Hospitalization efforts support a focus on tertiary- and quaternary-care, including a large oncology program, two level 3 NICUs, a pediatric CVICU and heart transplant program, two PICUs, level 1 pediatric surgery verification care, and pediatric level 1 trauma. Position Description: This individual will be responsible for managing complex patient care and ensuring the delivery of rehabilitation expertise to patients, families and other health care providers. This includes the evaluation of patients, in pediatric populations, with complex rehabilitation needs through outpatient and inpatient care. The Rehab APP will perform tasks independently and in collaboration with the rehabilitation care team. License/Certification: Current Minnesota RN license or eligible Current Minnesota APRN license or eligible. Nurse certification required through Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB) or American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC) Education/Experience : Master's or higher degree in nursing with a focus on clinical specialization.
