Cook Children’s is 1 of 8 Hyperinsulinism Center of Excellence in the world. Patients seek out care for this diagnosis from all over the country to be treated by the team on 3 North. While 3 North is primarily an endocrinology unit, nurses also receive specialty training to safely care for behavioral health patients. This 17 bed unit has telemetry monitoring capabilities, and our nurses are trained to care for patients requiring additional monitoring support.
