JOB SUMMARY Under the direction of the Charge Nurse, Patient Care Manager, Director, and Vice President of Patient Care, the Registered Nurse administers individualized age-appropriate patient care to the neonate, pediatric, adolescent, geriatric and adult patient according to the established nursing standards and Nurse Practice Act of Missouri. JOB DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS *Must live at least 75 miles away from the hospital – 211 Saint Francis Drive, Cape Girardeau, MO 63703. *13-week assignment, with potential to extend for 1 additional 13-week assignment if available. * Assignments will be full time on Ortho/surgical, Neurosciences, or Progressive Care Unit. *Internal travelers are not benefit eligible *Once your application is submitted, a recruiter will reach out with more details. JOB SUMMARY The Nurse Assistant is responsible for performing direct and indirect patient care tasks as delegated by the appropriate licensed nursing personnel. The primary responsibility of the Nurse Assistant is to provide basic patient cares such as bathing and hygiene, elimination and toileting, nutrition feeding and hydration, and ambulation and positioning. The Nurse Assistant supports patient safety and patient satisfaction by performing regular patient rounds on the nursing unit and effectively communicating with all team members. The Nurse Assistant demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient. JOB DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS Time Type: Part Time (48 hours per pay period, with benefits) Typical Hours Worked: Day Shift, variable start times Education: High School Diploma or GED- required Successful and proof of completion of an unlicensed assistive personnel curriculum that meets the minimum training standards as outlined in 19 CSR 30-20.125 required or: has documented experience as a Nursing Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, Emergency Room Technician or Surgical Technician in the past three (3) years; or has completed a LPN program outside the US and is awaiting the licensure examination; or is a nursing student who has completed fundamentals or equivalent course; or was a nursing licensure candidate who failed to pass the state licensure examinations in the past three (3) years; or is certified as a nursing assistant as defined in section 198.082, RSMo.
