Job Summary: The Infusion Registered Nurse provides professional, patient-centered nursing care within the infusion clinic. This role is responsible for assessing patient needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans, and evaluating patient responses throughout the infusion process. The nurse administers infusion therapies safely and accurately, monitors patients for adverse reactions, and ensures a supportive and informative patient experience. The Infusion RN functions as a clinical resource, educator, and triage nurse. This position collaborates closely with Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, pharmacists, and other members of the healthcare team to coordinate care and achieve high-quality outcomes. The nurse also provides directions to ancillary staff and supports the overall efficiency of clinic operations. The Infusion Registered Nurse is expected to uphold the organizations mission, vision, and values while adhering to all established policies, procedures, and professional standards. CLINICAL PRACTICE Provide professional nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Administer infusion therapies, including IV medications, biologics, blood products, and hydration treatments, following established protocols. Monitor patients during and after infusions; identify and respond to changes in patient condition. Perform triage functions and prioritize patient needs appropriately. Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and home care instructions. Trauma Registrar

Job Summary: A vital and integral part of the trauma team, the Trauma Registrar will be responsible for the high-quality detailed data collection and entry, statistics and reporting of data from University Hospital as well as at a Regional Level into the trauma registry. This data collection will be done through both abstraction from patient records as well as concurrent entry during trauma rounds. Additionally, the registrar will generate reports from the database as needed. The Trauma Registrar is also responsible for downloading data for submission to the Department of Health, Bureau of EMS or their designee for inclusion in the New York State Trauma Registry. This position will work closely with the Adult Trauma Medical Director, department of surgery, department of nursing and the trauma team. Minimum Qualifications: Associates degree in Nursing, Medical Informatics, or related field AND a minimum of 3 years related experience OR an equivalent combination of education/certification and experience required. Must have attended the following courses or within 12 months of hire: (1) the American Trauma Societies Trauma Registrar Course or equivalent provided by a state trauma program and (2) the Association of the Advancement of Automotive Medicine's Injury Scaling Course. 3) Trauma specific ICD-10 coding training. Must meet and maintain continuing education requirements as required by both NYS DOH and the American College of Surgeons or other verification designee. Excellent written/oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills required. Preferred Qualifications: CSTR (Certified Specialist in Trauma Registries) preferred. Job Summary: The Bed Manager will have the complex responsibility for all patient bed assignments throughout the organization in order to meet patient care needs and maximize bed resources. This includes patients needing admission from external sources, Adult ED, Pediatric ED, Upstate Community ED, Upstate clinics, post-ops and electives.
