Planned Parenthood Los Angeles is seeking an experienced and caring Float Medical Assistant I with excellent clinical, communication, and customer service skills to work full-time at our Huntington Park Health Center and float to our Baldwin Hills/Crenshaw and S. Mark Taper Health Centers. Performs all Medical Assistant front and back office functions. Perform family planning services with intent to train on medication abortion (MAB) and procedural abortion (PAB) services, physical exams for all genders with special emphasis on the reproductive system, including breast examination, pelvic examination, male genital exams, cancer screening tests, diagnosis and treatment of sexually transmitted infections, Mid-Life Services counseling, and other types of more specialized procedures as indicated by Planned Parenthood Los Angeles (PPLA) Medical Standards & Guidelines (MS&Gs). Perform, order, and interpret diagnostic studies as indicated and permitted by PPLA MS&Gs. Perform examination and assessment of post-abortion clients including pelvic exams and labs when needed. Ability to interpret colposcopy results and/or follow-up plans for patients. Maintain PPLA standards of productivity. Minimum of 3 visits per hour and 18 work units.
