RN Infection Preventionist

POSITION SUMMARY: The RN Infection Preventionist supports the translation of the nursing philosophy of the facility into nursing practice by participating in the planning, implementation and evaluation of the nursing care delivery system. In addition, he/she provides residents and personnel with established guidelines to follow in prevention and spread of contagious, infectious or communicable disease. RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES: Establishes guidelines for prevention and spread of contagious, infectious or communicable disease; Assists with monitoring for a sanitary environment for facility personnel, residents, and visitors; Ensures that all infection control policies and procedures are implemented and followed; Coordinates regular in-services on infection control practice at least quarterly; SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL/VOCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: The Infection Control Coordinator must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current registered nurse license by the NJ State Board of Nursing. A minimum of three years full-time or equivalent clinical experience is required and a minimum of two years of clinical experience in Dialysis Center with one year in a management/administrative or supervisory capacity is preferred. RN Nursing Supervisor Weekend

This employee has the responsibility for coordination of total resident care. RN Nursing Supervisor performs responsible supervisory and professional work in directing and coordinating all nursing units. The individual must have had advanced training and broad nursing experience including supervisory duties. The work requires administrative ability, knowledge of training techniques, ability to adapt techniques and procedures in accordance with unusual situations, and the exercise of initiative and good judgment. The work is carried out according to standards of professional nursing practices, facility policies, rules and regulations, and State and Federal regulations. SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL/VOCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: The RN Nursing Supervisor must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and there must be current registration with the professional board of nurse examiners of NJ. Experience in the nursing field. Supervisory experience in long term care is required. JOB SKILLS: Must have thorough knowledge of nursing theory, techniques and practices. Must have experienced working with Pointclick and MDS Must have knowledge of medications, their proper dosage and expected results. Must be able to recognize and identify symptoms and to make decisions quickly in emergencies.

Unit Manager RN

The Unit Manager provides Services in planning organizing, developing, and directing the day-to-day functions of the Unit/Floor in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations and facility policies and procedures. Qualifications Must possess valid NJ state RN license. Nursing degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Five (5) or more years of nursing experience required. Two (2) years or more years of experience as a supervisor in a nursing care Center, hospital or other related health care Center. Working knowledge with PCC and MDS Knowledge of current LTC state guidelines Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Bi-lingual is a plus Sign on Bonus!
