Our Rheumatology Department is currently seeking a full time Infusion RN to deliver care that is second to none in our high volume-fast paced practice. Primary duties for this position include, but are not limited to: Clinic Duties include: Assisting with procedures Preparing and administering injections Following up on and recording test results Providing patient education Completing prior authorizations for treatments and diagnostic testing Screening calls for physicians and answering patient questions Infusion Duties include: Performing initial and ongoing patient assessments prior to and during each infusion to ensure patients are free of infection, adverse reactions, or other complications Performing venipuncture using aseptic technique and maintaining sterility of the closed IV system Educating patients on IV therapy and the infusion process Preparing IV medications according to drug reconstitution protocols Administering medications per manufacturer guidelines Assisting with clinical drug study infusions as needed Qualifications: Current RN license is required. Experience providing infusion treatment, preferred. BLS required or must obtain within the first 60 days of employment. Primary duties for this position include, but are not limited to: Working along with providers in a clinic setting. Greet and room patients while maintaining a welcoming and professional environment. Prepare patients for provider examination and assist providers during in-office medical procedures. Record and maintaining records of vitals and other pertinent patient health data. Support the casting process, including preparation, application, and removal of casts Patient education on upcoming procedures, medications, etc. per provider’s protocol. Triage patient calls for providers and answer patient questions. Qualifications: Medical certification/license is required. CPR certification is required or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire. This is an excellent opportunity to join a team of highly dedicated physicians and staff whose primary mission is to provide high quality, compassionate care to our patients. This Provider will provide services by performing the following duties: Performs medical examinations and evaluations, diagnoses, treatment, follow-up, consultation, and health education. Assess patient health concerns; diagnose and determine treatment plan. Order treatment, therapy and prescriptions as needed. Obtains patient histories and develops patient care charts, ensuring completeness and accuracy. Provides health education to families, and/or community health practitioners and groups within area of specialty. Support quality care and positive patient outcomes for general Hematology Oncology patients. Qualifications: Current, Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) license or Physician Assistant license. Master's degree (M. A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Clinical expertise in the management of acute and chronic conditions related to cancer and blood disorders, preferred. Previous oncology experience and oncology certification preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based practice and clinical guidelines. Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills.
