The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in the Cardiac Inpatient Telemetry Unit plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a dynamic environment. In collaboration with physicians, APPs, consultants, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, the APP will provide specialized care to critically ill cardiac patients. This role requires comprehensive care for cardiac surgical patients during both the pre-operative and post-operative periods as well as providing care for non-surgical patients. The APP is required to perform medical histories and physical exams as well as interpret laboratory and diagnostic testing data to inform clinical decisions. Additionally, the APP will be required to develop and implement patient care management plans, including prescribing medications and other medical therapies. Job Description Our 3 East unit is seeking a casual Nursing Assistant to join our team in Wilmington, DE! The nursing assistant role is responsible for assisting with general activities of the patient care unit and assist the health care team with performance of patient care activities, under the direction and guidance of a Registered Nurse. Job Description Our 3 East unit is seeking a casual Nursing Assistant to join our team in Wilmington, DE! The nursing assistant role is responsible for assisting with general activities of the patient care unit and assist the health care team with performance of patient care activities, under the direction and guidance of a Registered Nurse. Position is full-time, 36 hrs/wk, nightshift with weekend and holiday requirement. 3 East is a surgical intermediate unit with a high population of patients requiring post-operative care for urological issues, traumatic injuries, and general surgery. 3 East also cares for patients with acute and end stage renal disease and patients requiring an intermediate level of nursing care due to their tracheostomy and/or ventilator needs. Each patient room is equipped with oxygen, compressed air, and suction along with state-of-the-art cardiorespiratory bedside monitors and computers that enable the healthcare team to access a patient’s electronic medical record. The patient care complexity directly relates to the wide range of patient care skills required for this diverse patient population. The goal of this unit is to provide high-quality, cost-effective patient care. The Synergy model is used in making appropriate patient assignments based on patient and family needs and nursing skill set. Special equipment used on this unit includes infusion pumps, syringe pumps, feeding pumps, BiPap respirators, Oxygen delivery methods, PCA & epidural pumps, wound vacutainers, ventilators and specialty beds. This unit, within our growing cardiac program, encompasses 20 beds and offers a collaborative environment dedicated to providing exceptional care to neonatal, pediatric, and young adult patients with cardiac conditions requiring all levels of care (acute care to ICU).
