Performs related duties as assigned. Position Details: Education: Graduated from an accredited RN nursing school. Licensure: Current RN in the state of practice. Experience: Knowledgeable regarding bariatric surgery, bariatric care and special needs related to the bariatric patient. Skills in program development, operations, presentation and budgeting. Use of the EMR. Chart review/Data collection and report writing experience preferred. Certification/Registration: Current Basic Life Support. Other: Ability to hear and read effectively. Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English. Ability to navigate effectively in many computer systems. Ability to work in a team-focused environment. Ability to work in a rapid-paced work environment. Ability to work independently. Good problem-solving skills. Ability to provide quality bedside patient care. Preferred Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing. Preferred Experience: Skills in public relations and in development of interdepartmental relationships Experience in data entry, data bases and data registries. Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements. Certifications: - Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. Physical Requirements: • Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis. • Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift. • Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
