Licensed Practical Nurse - Full Time

Description Of Position The LPN is responsible for providing provider support as applicable, and comprehensive nursing care to patients and their families under the direction of the provider. This position supports the Practice Director and Manager in coordinating and leading practice personnel to ensure consistent standards of practice and competencies in the delivery of patient care services. The position will perform duties within the scope of practice, ensuring consistency with Memorial Medical Group policies and procedures, standards of care, approved protocols, standing orders and guidelines. The position will also adhere to practice standards governed by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing. Description Of Position The Clinical Nurse Educator provides a variety of teaching for staff, patients, families and the community. The focus areas are staff education, patient/family education, and community education. SUPERVISION: Reports directly to the Practice Manager Responsibilities And Duties Coordinates and participates in the orientation process of new employees. Coordinates and maintains patient/family/staff education programs. Coordinates and participates in community/screening programs. Communicates with other departments/disciplines in providing quality care to patients and/or family. Develops and revises policies and procedures for Patient Care Services.
