The CNO will set departmental goals, standards, policies, and procedures; structure the department to meet legal, organizational, and medical staff requirements; and collaborate with the executive council on the hospital’s strategic plan. This role will oversee acute care nursing operations and quality, develop and manage the nursing budget, and advise administration on procedural changes impacting patient care.
