Expected to float among RHS facilities and perform like competencies. Surgical privileges are established by the surgery department and medical staff and approved by the governing body. Demonstrates consistent proficient knowledge of procedure specific utilization of instruments, equipment, and supplies. Responsible for assuring safe practices as referenced in the National Patient Safety Goals and by following RHS policies and procedures, as well as guidelines outlined in AORN, CMS, and DNV. Identifies and reports noncompliance or violations appropriately. Ensures preference cards are maintained and updated by consistently communicating changes to appropriate team members. Demonstrates the ability to build collaborative professional relationships with a multi-disciplinary team to support patient care needs. Participates and provides feedback in supply utilization, new equipment/product evaluations; identifying and recommending solutions for cost containment and waste reduction.
