Riverside's Lifelong Health Earn and Learn Nurse Aide Program (Hospitality Assistant to CNA)- Saluda

Saluda, Virginia Riverside's Nurse Aide Program is intended to transition new hires from Hospitality Assistants to fully licensed Certified Nurse Aides. In this program, you will begin by working as a Hospitality Assistant in a labor pool (as needed) status until your scheduled course begins. The course is an accelerated 4-week program that will teach you the skills and knowledge needed to take and pass your CNA boards. Maintains excellent clinical competency to include the initial patient work up (including manual vitals), chaperoning patients, assisting providers with procedures, and ensuring patient rooms are clean and compliant for next visit. Ensures that clinical equipment is maintained and clinical supplies are ordered and stocked as necessary. Supports productivity goals to maximize use of facility resources to meet patient demand. Maximizes physician visits so that productivity targets are met. Newport News, Virginia Overview Works under the supervision of the physician, Office Manager, RN, and LPN. The certified medical assistant performs a wide range of clinical duties including assisting the physician in providing quality care in a medical office setting. The certified medical assistant must be able to demonstrate the knowledge required to provide age appropriate care for the patients served in the practice, and skills to interpret assessment in relation to principles of growth and development over the life span. In addition, the certified medical assistant must be knowledgeable of health insurance guidelines for preauthorization's and referral processes, and be attentive to scheduling testing and specialist visits within network guidelines.
