The APRN/PA will be responsible for managing postoperative outpatient care, answering telephone inquiries, and filling prescriptions. APRN/PA must have a high level of expertise to perform assessments/diagnosis/treatment of actual/potential patients problems. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: APRN: Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with a Master's in Nursing Valid Licenses as a Registered Nurse and APRN by the State of Arkansas PA: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program Valid license as a PA by the State of Arkansas​ PLUS: Must be able to operate all typical nursing equipment essential to performing the job (i.e., scales, procedure equipment, needles, blood pressure equipment, and EKG machines). Must have normal communication and sensory requirements. Ability to comply with CDC Universal Precautions when indicated. Preferred Qualifications: Experience as PA or Acute Care APRN Prescriptive authority and a DEA license must be obtained after hire. Additional Information: Responsibilities: Extend the patient care and administrative services of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences physicians. Work autonomously, as well as, in collaboration with a variety of individuals to diagnose and manage patients' health care problems; and will serve as a health care resource, interdisciplinary consultant, and patient advocate.
