Overview About the Role The Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) is a skilled health provider who through a written collaborative practice agreement with a physician is credentialed through the Medical Staff Office. The APN in the Surgery Practices utilizes critical judgment in the performance of comprehensive health assessments, differential diagnosis, and the prescribing of pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments in the direct management of patients diagnosed with a variety of surgical conditions/diseases. Responsibilities What You’ll Do Collects comprehensive patient health data/history including past and present medical, surgical, family, and social history.
