RN Unit Manager Accela Rehab and Care Center at Somerton Job Type: Full-Time 8am-4pm Monday to Friday. Location: Somerton, Philadelphia, PA Accela Rehab and Care Center at Somerton is seeking a dedicated and experienced RN Unit Manager to join our clinical leadership team. The RN Unit Manager will oversee the day-to-day nursing operations of an assigned unit while ensuring residents receive safe, compassionate, and high-quality care. Job Summary The RN Unit Manager will provide clinical leadership and supervision to nursing staff, coordinate resident care, monitor compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards, and promote a positive environment for residents, families, and employees. Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of the assigned nursing unit. Supervise and support RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other nursing staff. Ensure residents receive individualized, safe, and quality care. Conduct ongoing assessments and monitor residents' changes in condition. Review and ensure accurate completion of nursing documentation and medical records. Coordinate care plans and collaborate with physicians, rehabilitation staff, social services, and other members of the interdisciplinary team. Communicate effectively with residents and their families regarding care, concerns, and changes in condition. Monitor medication administration and ensure compliance with physician orders and facility policies. Assist with staff scheduling, assignments, and coverage as needed. Provide guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to nursing staff. Participate in staff education, training, and competency programs. Monitor infection prevention and control practices. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations and standards. Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives. Address resident and family concerns promptly and professionally. Assist with surveys, audits, and regulatory inspections. Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive workplace culture. Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for residents. Qualifications Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania. Previous nursing leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Experience in a skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, or post-acute care setting preferred. Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to lead, motivate, and supervise a nursing team. Knowledge of nursing practices, regulatory requirements, and resident care standards. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Commitment to providing compassionate, resident-centered care.
