Assists with patient care activities as directed by licensed nurse, including specimen collection/transport, turning & positioning, and patient transportation. Demonstrates appropriate use of independent judgement and decision making. Qualifications High school diploma or GED (or equivalent) Current and active CNA certification in California AHA Basic Life Support Understanding of basic medical terminology Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job Strong interpersonal, customer service, and patient-care skills; ability to work as part of a team and follow nursing supervision. Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and ability to maintain HIPAA confidentiality Must be physically able to perform the tasks of CNA patient care: lifting/transferring patients, assisting with ADLs, standing/walking for shifts.
