Registered Nurse (RN) Case Manager, Full Time, Day Shifts

Job Summary: Performs Case Management activities to assure medical necessity of admissions and appropriateness of continued stay utilizing the Interqual Criteria guidelines. Monitors the utilization of resources of all patients reviewed. Maintains confidential communication with physicians and multi-disciplinary personnel to meet individual needs or the patients served. Functions as an independent contributor as well as a team member. Position Qualification: Possess three or more years of acute care hospital experience preferred. Familiar with the operations of the healthcare industry and healthcare delivery systems. Able to use the medical record in order to obtain clinical information to perform Interqual reviews. Utilize Outlook, and the computer-based systems (AllScripts) to perform reviews. Work experience in Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, Critical Care, and/or Pediatrics, NICU preferred. Required Licenses/Certifications: Current Florida RN Licensure BLS Certification. Must possess a solid clinical background to accomplish extensive Medical Record review. Job Summary Delivers advanced professional and technical nursing care to patients of all ages presenting to the Emergency Room with real or potential emergency care needs, in support of and in collaboration with care directed by the medical staff. Nursing care delivered complies with objectives and policies of the hospital. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation when delivering nursing care. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team member to provide age/ developmentally appropriate care in accordance with unit standards. Performs nursing techniques for the comforts and well-being of the patient. Prepares equipment and assists physician during treatments and examinations of patients. Assists in planning, supervising, and instructing Licensed Practical Nurses, and E.D. Techs, thereby providing care to a number of patients. Registered Nurse (RN) Extern, Per Diem, Night Shifts

Job Summary: The Nurse Extern is currently enrolled in a School of Nursing and who has successfully completed two Clinical Nursing courses. When on duty, he/she assists patients with activities of daily living and provides basic patient care which is designed to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of the patient. The Nurse Extern may also be cross trained to perform unit Secretary clerical duties. The nurse Extern may perform nursing practice interventions which have been learned within his/her clinical training and which have been successfully validated by an RN staff member. Qualifications/Requirements Education Completion of second Clinical Nursing course within an accredited school of Nursing Program.
