Job Summary Delivers advanced professional and technical nursing care to patients of all ages presenting to the Emergency Room with real or potential emergency care needs, in support of and in collaboration with care directed by the medical staff. Job Summary: The Nurse Extern is currently enrolled in a School of Nursing and who has successfully completed two Clinical Nursing courses. When on duty, he/she assists patients with activities of daily living and provides basic patient care which is designed to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of the patient. The Nurse Extern may also be cross trained to perform unit Secretary clerical duties.
