Level IV Trauma Center Level II Stroke Center 12 Hour Shifts 9 Beds How you'll contribute You'll make an impact by utilizing your specialized plan-of-care intervention and serving as a patient-care innovator. You will shape exceptional patient journeys every day and leverage your skills and our cutting-edge technology to directly impact patient wellbeing. A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role: Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities. Documents patient care provided. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family. Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs. Evaluates patient and family learning needs and provides appropriate education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient. Participates in performance improvement and continuing education. Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed. Maintains regular and reliable attendance. Key responsibilities include: Preparing the operating room and ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available Performing circulating nurse duties during surgical procedures Maintaining sterile technique and monitoring the surgical environment for safety and compliance Anticipating the needs of the surgical team to support efficient case flow Communicating effectively with surgeons, anesthesia providers and team members Documenting care accurately and in a timely manner Participating in process improvement efforts to enhance efficiency, safety and team performance What we're looking for Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a bachelor's degree or associate degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include: Active Washington RN license (single-state) or compact required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins. Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire. ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire. At least two recent years of RN Operating Room experience required.
