State Registered Nurse Aide - SRNA / CNA Wurtland Nursing and Rehabilitation is looking for a State Registered Nurse Aides (SRNA / CNA) to join our team's mission and believe in our core values! Position Overview: The SRNA is a member of the community nursing team whose responsibility is to assist professional nursing personnel by delivering direct hands-on nursing care to ambulatory and non-ambulatory residents on a daily basis. The SRNA is also responsible for assisting the residents to achieve the highest level of functioning while living as normal a lifestyle as possible. Key Responsibilities: • To perform or assist the resident with completing Activities of Daily Living (ADL). • Respond to residents call lights to provide maximum comfort, safety and privacy. • Transport residents by ambulation or by wheelchair to areas of community (dining room, lobby and activities). • Report any significant findings/observations to nurse immediately. • Assist residents on admission, transfer and discharge to make a smooth transition. • Responsible for the safekeeping of residents’ personal possessions. • Keep resident rooms neat and safe. • Follow proper infection control techniques • Respect the rights of each resident, particularly privacy and confidentiality. • Re-teach resident to perform ADL skills. • Provide restorative care to prevent pressure sores, contractures, and complications. • Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement and ensures follow-up occurs. • Converse with resident and family; assist them on adjustment to the community. • Ensure adequate hydration and nutrition of resident; report deviations from norm to the Charge Nurse promptly. • Perform blood pressure, pulse, respirations, intake/output and weights accurately. Qualifications: • Certified and state tested as a State Registered Nurse Aide in the state employed; certificate must be active, valid, and in good standing. Key Responsibilities: Initiate and lead team conferences in development of individualized nursing care plans. Assess and document the residents’ condition and nursing needs. Accurately and promptly implement physicians’ orders. Administer medications, start IVs, and perform treatments for assigned residents and document that treatment as required by Majestic Care and local, state, and federal rules and regulations. Participate in orientation and in-service training for personnel. Assist physicians with special tests and procedures within the scope of state specified Nursing Practice Act. Report and record pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents. Coordinate nursing care of residents when scheduled for therapy or procedures by other departments. Assist with or institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments in residents. Qualifications: Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
