Clinic Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)- MMF Urology

Department: MMF Urology Shift: Primarily Days (United States of America) Employee Type: Regular Per Diem Type (if applicable): Minimum Pay Range: $31.54 - $39.42 Job Description: POSITION SUMMARY The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) of Marshall Medical Center’s (MMC) outpatient clinics works with medical caregivers to ensure effective medical care is delivered to all patients in a timely, dignified and caring manner. Through the coordination of patient care, the LVN enables physicians to provide the highest quality of care while maximizing the physician’s ability to see patients in a timely manner. Under the direction of the Physician, the LVN coordinates the flow of patients through the office and assists providers within the LVN scope of practice. The LVN monitors patients for preventative care needs and provides nursing care according to Marshall Medical Center’s (MMC’s) standard of practice. Maintains good public relations by interacting with patients, visitors, physicians and other staff members in a friendly and professional manner. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education/Licensure/Certification: High School graduate or equivalent required. Current CA Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Knowledge: One year of experience practicing as an LVN preferred. Skills: Effective communication, interpersonal and organizational skills required. Must have injection skills, phlebotomy skills, EKG experience and medication administration skills. Basic computer and data entry skills. Familiarity with medical terminology, patient/family health education, instrument sterilization techniques and taking vital signs also required. Comfortable with regularly verifying and processing insurance eligibility and obtaining authorization requests, including verifying personal credentials with external partners to obtain this information (e.g., ID.me for identity verification for VA insurance coordination).

Department: Outpatient Surgery Shift: Variable (United States of America) Employee Type: Regular Per Diem Type (if applicable): Minimum Pay Range: $59.28 - $71.14 Job Description: POSITION SUMMARY The Surgical Services Operating Room Nurse (OR RN) assumes responsibility and accountability for designated patients undergoing surgical procedures, utilizing the nursing process. Provides patient care according to Marshall Medical Center’s (MMC’s) standard of practice. Validates pre-operatively, that each patient is physically and emotionally ready for the intended procedure and provides patient care ensuring safety throughout the intra-operative and post-operative phase until patient care has been transferred to the PACU RN or Primary Care Nurse. Maintains good public relations by interacting with patients, visitors, physicians and other staff in a friendly and professional manner, functioning as the patient’s advocate at all times. The OR RN oversees the performance of any non-professional, whose activities impact their patient’s care and ensures the safe handling of infectious material(s) to protect all patients and employees. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education/Licensure/Certification: · Current California Registered Nursing (RN) License required. · Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. · Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required. This position maintains the continuity of patient care in order to ensure the utmost patient satisfaction. The Medical Assistant will prepare patients for their examination/visit and assist the providers as needed; completes medication refills, lab result follow ups, referrals to specialists, patient callbacks, orders medical supplies, and cleans/sterilizes medical equipment and exam rooms. Medical Assistants of Marshall Medical Center will be expected to float to other clinics when needed and perform other duties as assigned to support the overall goals and achievements of all Marshall Medical Clinics. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education/Licensure/Certification: Completion of a Medical Assistant Program or previous Medical Assistant experience preferred. To qualify for Medical Assistant 2: Current Medical Assistant (MA) certification from the California Certified Medical Assistant Board (CCMA) or the National American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) required or an approved certifying body required.
