About the "Department" We provide care to pediatric and adult patients with medical and surgical conditions. Our highly skilled caregivers have certifications including ACLS, PALS, and Chemotherapy to serve patients with various ailments. About The Career: The Registered Nurse coordinates the plan of care, provides direct age-appropriate nursing interventions and patient education, by collaborating with ancillary, nursing and other patient team personnel. Directs the team of CNA's, LPN's and Ward Secretaries. Works under the supervision of the nurse manager and/or house supervisor. All About You : New graduates may be considered Current Colorado or compact state RN license or ability to become licensed. Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a Bachelor's, Associated, or Diploma in Nursing. BLS required upon hire. ACLS and PALS within 9-months. ENPC and TNCC highly recommended. About The Emergency Department: The Emergency Department at Montrose Regional Health is a Level III Trauma Center staffed 24 hours per day by Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physicians and RNs who are certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and in Trauma Care. About The Career: The Emergency Department Nurse is responsible for providing age appropriate emergent and non-emergent nursing care to all patients in the emergency department. The Emergency Department Nurse must be able to function independently or as a member of a team to meet the needs of the patient. The Emergency Department Nurse must possess advanced knowledge and skills in the treatment of pediatric patients, trauma patients, critically ill or injured patients, and assist the physician in all forms of medical resuscitation.
