Clinical base hourly pay range for this position: $60.39-68.10 hr. This is a salaried position.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s degree or higher in nursing or physician assistant studies from an accredited program
Current Illinois license as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant
Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
Minimum of two years of experience as an APP in urgent care or a related field is preferred
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems

This team member will work solely in our busy cardiovascular intensive care unit. This individual collaborates with the interdisciplinary team and closely with physicians and surgeons to serve as a key team member in a 24-hour-directed multidisciplinary model in a 32-bed adult heart unit. Our high-acuity ICU desires individuals with experience in managing complex post operative adult cardiac surgery patients, including heart transplants, mechanical circulatory support (Impella, IABP), ventricular assist devices (VAD) and ECMO. Requires experience as an APP in cardiology (preferably CV surgery). Weekend and holiday rotations are required. APPs work together to make their own schedule. As the flagship medical center for one of the largest Catholic healthcare systems in the United States, OSF Saint Francis Medical Center is the area’s only Level 1 Trauma Center. It is home to the Children’s Hospital of Illinois, and University of Illinois College of Medicine residency and fellowship training programs.
