POSITION SUMMARY

As the Wound Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing specialized nursing care focused on wound assessment, treatment, and prevention. You’ll work closely with the clinical team to ensure optimal skin integrity for our residents while promoting best practices in wound management.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Perform wound assessments, treatments, and preventive skin care
• Implement and monitor wound care plans per physician orders
• Conduct regular rounds to evaluate resident skin conditions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team on wound care strategies
• Maintain accurate documentation and treatment records
• Communicate wound progress with residents, families, and physicians
• Monitor and assist with nutrition/hydration needs for wound healing
• Ensure treatment cart is organized and fully stocked
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols

REQUIREMENTS:

• Current RN license in the state of practice
• 1–3 years of clinical nursing experience (wound care experience strongly preferred)
• CPR certification (required)
• Strong assessment and clinical documentation skills
• Compassionate and resident-focused approach
• Ability to work independently and within a team
