Elcor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, a 305-bed nursing and rehabilitation center that provides short-term rehabilitation, long-term nursing care and adult day care is looking for motivated Certified Nursing Assistants to join a great team! For over 60 years, we have been striving to provide the best quality health care and support services in Horseheads, NY.

Our facility sits directly on the local bus route, offering a bus stop right at Elcor for easy commuting!

 

Responsibilities

This position delivers direct resident care and provides superior healthcare to our residents in a manner which promotes independence, preserves dignity, & strives to improve their quality of life.

  • Assist with the maintenance of resident's nutritional and personal hygiene needs
  • Observe and report significant changes in a resident's condition
  • Understand the psychological needs of the resident.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in patient areas, ensuring compliance with infection control standards.
  •  Provide support with mobility, transfers, and positioning of residents.
  • Assist with Nursing and other Staff as needed
  • Follow all professional, facility, and legal standards while maintaining resident and facility confidentiality.
  • Responsible for promoting a safe work environment through proactive injury prevention practices and compliance with all safety standards.

 

Requirements

  • Current New York State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification
