About the Role:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and direct patient care within various healthcare settings across the United States. Your primary focus will be to support patients with their daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity at all times. You will work closely with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to monitor patient conditions and report any changes promptly. This role demands a strong commitment to patient-centered care, effective communication, and adherence to healthcare protocols. Ultimately, your contributions will significantly enhance the quality of life for patients and support the overall efficiency of the healthcare team.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current and valid CNA certification recognized in the state of employment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program.
- Basic knowledge of patient care and safety protocols.
- Ability to pass a background check and meet health screening requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a hospital, nursing home, or long-term care facility.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, fostering a positive and respectful environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of patient rooms and healthcare equipment.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding patient status and any observed changes.
- Assist with patient transfers and positioning to prevent bedsores and promote comfort.
- Follow infection control procedures and comply with healthcare regulations and standards.
