Key Responsibilities:

Provide nursing care during bus transportation for a wheelchair-dependent and non-verbal student from Medford, MA to a school site in Chestnut Hill, MA
Conduct ongoing clinical assessments and monitor the students airway, seizure activity, and comfort throughout transport
Manage medical equipment including oxygen saturation and heart rate monitors, suction machine, emergency oxygen tank, and anticonvulsant medications
Maintain accurate documentation of all nursing assessments and interventions
Collaborate closely with the students classroom nurse, family members, and health services supervisor to ensure coordinated care

Qualifications:

Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
Experience in school nursing or pediatric nursing, especially with medically complex students such as those who are non-verbal or wheelchair-dependent
Ability to provide compassionate, detail-oriented nursing care in a transport setting
Strong communication skills for effective coordination with caregivers and school personnel
