Duties:
  • Assists the school physician in physicals, visual/auditory screenings, and examinations of students.
  • Administers first aid and emergency treatment to students and employees.
  • Arranges to transport sick or injured students or staff to the hospital, home, doctor's office or dentist's office in cases of emergency.
  • Reviews with school physician a variety of health factors related to non-attendance and communicable diseases.
  • Prepares and maintains health records and reports as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
New York State Registered Professional Nurse (RN) License

  • Strong organizational skills within a service-oriented health office
  • Positive interpersonal skills with students, parents, and staff
  • Positive evaluations from prior supervisor
