The successful candidate will: Provide Primary health care to students, promote wellness, and serve as a resource for health concerns in the school setting. Responsibilities & Skills: Provide first aid, assessment, and nursing care to students for injuries and illnesses. Review the immunization status of all students. Act as a liaison between the school and the health department. Conduct New York State-mandated screenings of students for vision, hearing, and scoliosis. Maintain health records for all students with sufficient documentation. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Principal, and/or Director of Special Education and Student Services. POSITION: Part Time Registered Professional Nurse to work 1:1 with student(s) during bus runs. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Current License as a Registered Nurse in NYS Current certification in C.P.R. and A.E.D. RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in pediatric and/or community or public heatlh nursing. Experience as a school nurse is preferred. Experience with students with disbilities.
