The Supervisor RN serves as a consummate professional responsible impacting the overall operations, reputation, and atmosphere of Glenwood Behavioral Health through performing essential functions of compliance and direct patient care. The Supervisor RN will serve as a valued source of compassionate support to patients, staff and visitors. At Glenwood Behavioral Health, the Supervisor RN is a challenging, dynamic and rewarding position that allows for RN’s to enhance your skillset, develop new capabilities, and become a recognized leader in delivering exceptional patient care and directly impacting/improving the lives of individuals and families in crisis. Shift hours will be 0700-1930, 3 days/week, including every other weekend rotation.
Functions include, but not limited to:
- Providing, delegating, coordinating and evaluating care of patient through the collaborative efforts of direct care professionals in accordance with the nursing process and standards of care/practice.
- Functions as the lead RN for assigned shift overseeing Staff RN’s and Behavioral Health Associates.
- Responsible for assignment of direct care professionals, including RN’s and Behavioral Health Associates and directing specific duties/tasks/projects.
- Serves as mentor for direct care professionals and as administrative leadership at all times.
- Coordinates in partnership with direct care professionals, clinical services and admissions teams all care rendered to patients and activities to ensure smooth and complete coordination.
- Provides structure and maintains a therapeutic environment in collaboration with patients, visitors and other care providers.
- Assists in development and execution of plan of care with specific and measurable goals unique to each patient’s needs.
Educational/Licensure/Experience Requirements:
- Current/valid RN license in state of Ohio required.
- CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification training required.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school required.
- Three (3) or more years’ experience in nursing practice required.
- Two (2) or more years’ experience in behavioral health preferred.
- One (1) or more years’ experience in a supervisory or charge position preferred.
