- UT Health East Texas Physicians has 90 primary and specialty care clinics and eight urgent care centers in communities across the region. Affiliated with The University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine, we provide top-tier education, innovative research, and residency programs training future medical leaders.
Responsibilities
- The RN Navigator will work closely with physicians in various specialty areas and will coordinate the patient’s care plan communications for the UTHET Pulmonary Nodule Program.
- Under administrative direction, the RN Navigator provides patient education related to their illness and planned treatment.
- This position requires a self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills and is patient, compassionate, and can solve problems with little to no supervision.
- The RN Navigator will be an experienced clinician with a high-level of clinical competence and critical thinking.
- They will be providing individualized care coordination to patients and their families ensuring timely
- scheduling for diagnostic work-ups.
- They will also facilitate communication between the patient and the patient-care team ensuring the patient receives all required referrals and follow-ups as required.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Three years’ experience in nursing in a clinical/hospital setting
- Must maintain current Texas RN License
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Masters’ Degree in Nursing
- One to three years’ experience as a RN Educator
