Registered Nurse (RN) GYN/Antepartum – Full-time

- Work location: Texas Health Ft. Worth, 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76104
- The Women’s Center at Texas Health Ft. Worth, a MAGNET, and Texas 10-Step facility, and Maternal Level IV designated facility
- Work hours: Full Time Days (6:45AM-7:15PM) for 36 hours/week, with Weekend and holiday requirements

- Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team
- Women’s Services (GYN/Antepartum) 27-bed unit combining GYN, High Risk Antepartum, Breast surgery and Postpartum patients
- Provide care to GYN, post-surgical patients - variety of surgeries to include hysterectomies, breast surgeries; Postpartum (NICU moms), and Antepartum patients (all gestation levels)
- Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program Or Nursing Diploma required
- BSN is preferred
- CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (required)
- RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required
- One-year experience as a Registered Nurse (RN), or completion of an RN residency program.
- One year or more of GYN, Antepartum, Women’s Services RN experience strongly preferred
- BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days is required
- Fetal monitoring (EFM) knowledge and experience is preferred
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
- Assesses the patient
- Plans the care of the patient
- Intervenes as appropriate
- Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
- Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
- Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
- Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
