Canyon Creek Behavioral Health is seeking dynamic and talented Staff Nurses (R.N.) to work a 12-week Temporary Contract Asssigment.  The Staff Nurse (R.N.) is a registered professional nurse who prescribes, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices.

 

Position Highlights:

 

This is a temporary employment assignment, beginning on the first day of employment, and scheduled to conclude after 12 weeks.

 

Individuals must have not been employed by any UHS facility within the last 6 months are not eligible.

 

  • $60.00 an hour - 12 Week Contract
  • 12 hour shifts which include every other weekend rotation (Fri, Sat, Sun) for total of 7, 12 hour shifts every 2 weeks
  •                                   Shifts Available:  6:30PM - 7:00AM
  • Challenging and rewarding work environment

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education: Required: Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing; Preferred: Bachelor's Degree.

Experience:  A minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience preferred; minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.

Licensure:  Currently licensed to practice by the Texas State Board of Nursing.

Additional Requirements:  CPR certification and training in appropriate use of Seclusion and Restraint within 30 days of employment.  Successful completion of Handle with Care training and Service Excellence Training within 30 days of employment.  Certifications may be obtained during new hire orientation.
