Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to expectant mothers during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.
  • Monitor fetal heart rates, maternal vitals, and contractions to assess labor progress.
  • Administer medications, epidurals, and IV fluids as needed.
  • Assist OB/GYNs and midwives during deliveries, including vaginal and C-section births.
  • Educate patients and families on labor procedures, newborn care, and breastfeeding.
  • Manage complications such as preeclampsia, postpartum hemorrhage, and fetal distress.
  • Ensure adherence to infection control, safety, and hospital protocols.
  • Provide emotional support to mothers and families throughout labor and delivery.

Qualifications

  • Education: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Experience: Minimum 1-2 years in Labor & Delivery, OB/GYN, or Women’s Health.
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN required.
  • Skills: Proficient in fetal monitoring, neonatal resuscitation, and emergency OB care.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long hours and respond quickly in emergencies.
  • Travel Readiness: Open to temporary travel assignments.

Director of Nursing

POSITION REQUIREMENTS - Education / Experience · Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Massachusetts. · Minimum of three years of additional education or experience in rehabilitative or geriatric nursing and one year of nursing services administration. · CPR certified. · Understands responsibilities concerning infection control, safety, accident and fire prevention. · Ability to read, write, and comprehend English; ability to follow oral and written instructions.
