Franklin Hospital is seeking an experienced nurse leader to join our team as the Nurse Manager of the Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will bring 3–5 years of Emergency Department experience, a proven track record of leading nursing teams, and strong collaboration skills.

Role Summary

The Nurse Manager is responsible for providing strategic leadership, operational oversight, and clinical direction within the Emergency Department. This role partners closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high‑quality, patient‑centered care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage daily operations and nursing practice within the Emergency Department.
  • Foster a collaborative, supportive, and positive work environment that encourages staff engagement and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee staff orientation, education, and competency development aligned with departmental and organizational goals.
  • Identify, prioritize, and address educational and professional development needs for the ED nursing team.
  • Support staff in building critical thinking, prioritization, and customer service skills to enhance patient care.
  • Contribute to performance improvement initiatives and participate in committees that advance nursing practice across the organization.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience within the past 5 years. Supervisory experience preferred.
