RN School Contract

Make a real difference this school year as a Registered Nurse, floating within a dynamic school district near Independence, MO. This rewarding contract opportunity runs through May 22nd, with potential to extend into the summer program through June. Key Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in Missouri (clear Nursys record required)
  • Pediatric experience strongly preferred (ICU, ER, or prior school nursing background highly desirable)
  • Experienced RNrecent hands-on experience required; no new graduates
  • Strong technology skills and ability to chart electronically
  • Proven ability to work with PreK-12 students and adapt to fluctuating schedules
  • Excellent communication, flexibility, and multitasking abilities

Responsibilities:

  • Float between multiple school sites within the district to provide comprehensive health care
  • Serve as the primary RN and health room lead, assessing and treating student health concerns
  • Respond to emergencies, support field trips, and provide specialized care as needed
  • Communicate collaboratively with staff, students, and families
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records and ensure confidentiality
