Leadership Opportunity in Skilled Nursing
Carmel Hills Wellness & Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing in leading clinical operations in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF).
This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, staff supervision, and operational support across nursing services.
The ADON acts as a clinical leader, role model, and operational support to ensure resident care standards and facility goals are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership & Support
- Assist the Director of Nursing in overseeing daily clinical operations
- Support nursing staff supervision, assignments, and workflow coordination
- Step into DON responsibilities in their absence as needed
Staff Management & Development
- Assist with onboarding, orientation, and training of nursing staff
- Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance support
- Help ensure adequate staffing levels and appropriate shift coverage
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Monitor resident records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
- Assist with audits, surveys, and regulatory readiness activities
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and facility clinical regulations
- Support enforcement of resident rights and quality of care standards
Incident & Risk Management
- Assist in investigating unusual occurrences, incidents, or allegations of abuse
- Ensure timely reporting to Director of Nursing and leadership team
- Support corrective action plans and risk reduction efforts
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (RN or LPN program)
- Active nursing license in the State of Missouri
- Minimum 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in long-term care or skilled nursing
- Strong knowledge of SNF regulations and clinical operations
- Demonstrated leadership ability and professional communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Strong critical thinking, documentation, and organizational skills
Compensation
- RN: $85,000 – $95,000 annually
- LPN: $34 – $36 per hour
