Responsibilities:

Various personal care services as necessary to meet the client’s or patient’s needs
Providing assistance with daily tasks, including but not limited to: feeding, meal preparation, linen changes, light housekeeping, transportation to doctor appointments, outdoor activities, and shopping
Assisting client with active and passive mobility work defined by the plan of care, and documenting observed changes to the Director of Nursing
Must be able to assist with bathing
Must be able to assist with toileting
Must be comfortable around bodily fluids such as urine, vomit, blood, saliva etc.
Must be able to assist with transferring residents from wheel chair to beds, etc.
Must be willing to work with older adults with special needs and may not be able to communicate effectively
Must be willing to work with adults with cognitive impairments
Must be willing to assist with grooming, hygiene, activities of daily living

Qualifications:

Must have a valid HCA or Caregiving experience in a skilled nursing or assisted living facility.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds at a time
Ability to reach, bend, kneel, and stand for (sometimes) a long period
