Regional MDS Coordinator
Job Summary:

Regional MDS Coordinator Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough and accurate MDS assessments for residents in skilled nursing facilities across the region
Ensure timely and complete submission of MDS assessments to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)
Collaborate with facility staff to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to MDS assessments
Develop and maintain relationships with facility staff to promote understanding and compliance with MDS regulations
Provide technical assistance and support to facilitate accurate and complete MDS assessments
Identify and report any patterns or trends in MDS data to inform quality improvement initiatives
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and projects to improve MDS assessment accuracy and completeness
Regional MDS Coordinator Requirements:
Current RN License in the State of Pennslyvania
Prior experience as an MDS Coordinator in LTC required, Regional experience preferred
Willingness to travel to assigned facilities with the region as needed
Strong understanding of MDS regulations and guidelines
Oversee and support clinical reimbursement processes across facilities, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, PDPM guidelines, and regulatory requirements
Provide education and conduct in-service training for facility staff in alignment with corporate compliance and clinical documentation initiatives
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in electronic medical records and MDS assessment software
