Key Responsibilities

Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing daily recreational and therapeutic activities for residents
Support group activities such as games, crafts, music, exercise programs, and social events
Encourage resident participation while respecting individual abilities and preferences
Assist residents to and from activities when needed
Help set up and clean up activity spaces and materials
Provide one-on-one engagement for residents who are unable to attend group programs
Support special events, holiday celebrations, and themed activities within the facility
Maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all residents
Document participation and observations as directed by the Activities Director
Collaborate with the care team to support residents’ emotional and social well-being

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience working with seniors or in a healthcare setting is a plus, but not required
Friendly, patient, and compassionate personality
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Creative mindset with enthusiasm for engaging residents in meaningful activities
Ability to assist residents with mobility to and from activities when necessary
