Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)

Position Summary:
A Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support clinical leadership and contribute to the continued growth of our nursing team. This role works closely with the Director of Nursing and Administrator to ensure high standards of care, strong team performance, and regulatory compliance within the facility.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Director of Nursing to oversee daily nursing department operations
  • Evaluate nursing services, identify opportunities for improvement, and help implement solutions
  • Provide leadership, direction, and support to nursing staff across all shifts
  • Ensure adherence to facility policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in weekend supervisor rotation as part of the leadership team
  • Conduct routine rounds to monitor quality of care and staff performance
  • Assist in managing administrative functions related to nursing services and programs
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance resident outcomes

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state
  • Ability to exercise sound clinical judgment and make independent decisions
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, implement, and oversee nursing programs and initiatives

Computer proficiency in applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of ATI is a plus.
