Attend seminars and trainings to maintain up to date with latest trends and practices in the medical assistant field. Evaluate students’ performances and create effective methods to assist students to improve their academic performances. Use technology tools for instruction, planning, and in effective communication to ensure student engagement. Measure student achievement and progress towards learning objectives using the school’s formative and summative assessment tools. Provide ongoing and timely feedback to students on their progress towards meeting expectations and achieving goals. Improve instruction and personal practice by utilizing student feedback and performances. Grade exams, monitor and record attendance Participate in faculty meetings, open houses and other campus activities Other tasks may be assigned Qualifications Must be qualified as Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) from an approved institution. Effective communication skills: To ensure students have a clear understanding of materials presented and to provide assistance when needed. Human relations: Able to maintain a professional relationship in order to foster learning and create conducive learning environment. Leadership skills: To coach, teach, and mentor students to assist them to accomplish goals and seek professional development. · Bilingual – Spanish a plus . · Teaching experience and BPSS teaching license a plus. Job Description (required) : · NY RN License · BSN Degree · Nursing Assistant instructor experience preferred. · RN will be responsible for preparation and presentation of the prescribed curriculum to train students in their chosen field of study. · RN will ensure that the quality and quantity of instruction provided in the classroom and laboratory is consistent with the stated objectives of the school and applicable industry. · Classes during the evening are: Monday through Thursday at 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm in person. Essential Functions : · Teach students based on the approved curriculum, didactic and clinical aspects of the program · Record student attendance and grades daily, in accordance with school policy/syllabus · Administer and grade all course examinations, assignments and lab exercises · Maintain current knowledge in the subject area being taught (update certifications and licensing requirements) Experience: · RN experience: 2 years (Required) · Hospital, nursing home, or home care experience: 2 years (Required) Salary : $30-$40 per hour.
