Job Description – Senior Caregiver
Seniors Helping Seniors Central Oklahoma (SHS) brightens the lives of seniors who can benefit from a helping hand and a friendly smile. Our caregivers, who are seniors themselves (aged 40+), make life a little easier by providing compassionate care in the comfort our care receiver’s home.

SHS empowers seniors to continue to live independent lives by taking care of day-to-day tasks that become more challenging as seniors age.

Qualifications:

Enjoy working with our senior population
Be a caring, empathetic, compassionate and reliable individual
Ability to follow detailed instructions to execute our care plan
Maturity to deal effectively with the demands of the job
Maintain the highest standards of customer service and professionalism set by SHS
Be proactive to find other ways to help our seniors once all tasks have been completed

Companionship and Homemaker Duties may include:

Assist with Light Housekeeping such as laundry, vacuuming, washing dishes, etc…
Shopping and Errands
Medication Reminders
Overnight Supervision
Incidental Transportation to doctor’s appointments, family or their favorite restaurant

Personal Care Duties may include:

Assist with Dressing
Assist with Feeding
Assist with Showering / Bathing
Mobility Assistance
Assist with Toileting / Incontinence
Memory Care
