Position Summary

The ADON supports the Director of Nursing in overseeing daily nursing operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting clinical staff, and maintaining the highest standards of resident care. This role requires strong leadership, effective communication, and a passion for mentoring and developing nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Director of Nursing in managing nursing services and staff

  • Monitor care delivery for quality, accuracy, and regulatory compliance

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and performance guidance to nursing team members

  • Assist with scheduling, staff development, and in-service education

  • Participate in quality assurance and infection control programs

  • Assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Director of Nursing

Qualifications

  • Current RN license or LPN license in Iowa (required)

  • Prior supervisory or management experience in long-term care or skilled nursing

  • Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations

  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills
