Qualifications & Experience
- Active LPN/LVN license for the state of Minnesota
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively to medical situations in a school environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to confidentiality and professional standards of nursing practice
- CPR and First Aid certification required
- Experience with students requiring complex care, tracheostomy or seizure support is a plus
Role Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care and administer prescribed medications and treatments according to physician orders
- Monitor and support students with chronic medical conditions and special healthcare needs
- Maintain accurate health records in compliance with required regulations
- Educate students and staff regarding infection control, hygiene, and healthy practices
- Collaborate with families, teachers, and related service providers to develop and implement health plans
- Provide emergency care and respond promptly to urgent medical concerns
- Participate in IEP and 504 planning as needed
