As a Building Registered Nurse, you’ll play a pivotal role in school health, fostering a safe, supportive environment for children and serving as a vital resource for teachers and families.

What You’ll Need:

  • Active RN or LPN licensure
  • Prior experience in a school, pediatric, or child-centered healthcare setting preferred
  • Ability to work in a busy, sometimes noisy and hectic, environment with composure and professionalism
  • Physical stamina with the capacity to manage responsibilities that include occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, and turning
  • Excellent assessment, documentation, and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct health care and first aid to students and staff in an elementary school setting
  • Develop care plans for students with medical needs or chronic conditions
  • Communicate with families and collaborate with educators on health-related needs and interventions
  • Maintain accurate health records and respond to emergencies efficiently
  • Educate students and staff about wellness, hygiene, and disease prevention
