Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Critical Care APP Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team. This Critical Care Advanced Practice Provider position is eligible for a $15,000 sign-on bonus and $5,000 relocation reimbursement, which will be discussed with interviewed candidates. In addition, hires are eligible for additional compensation bonuses tied to productivity and retention. These positions offer billable hours, shift and holiday differential, and monthly bonuses.

Position Details:

· Full-time (average 40 hours per week).

· Schedule consists of an average of (3) 12-13 hour shifts per week to include up to 50% nights, weekends, holidays, and paid call.

· Flexible scheduling options may be available, including weekend and/or night shift-only options with additional incentives.

· Eligibility for a recurring retention bonus given after 12 months of employment and every 2 years thereafter.

· Monthly bonus (including productivity and shift differential).

· Annual bonus.

· Referral bonus.

The advanced practice provider will be employed by the Department of Anesthesiology within WashU Medicine, a top ranked medical school in the country. The APP will work at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, a nationally recognized Magnet center and ranked among the nation’s best hospitals by U.S. News & World Report, and/or affiliated BJC community hospitals, and telemedicine.

Opportunities include cardiothoracic ICU, surgical/burn/trauma ICU, combined medical/surgical ICUs, and telemedicine. ICU work locations will be determined based on the applicant's experience and professional interests.

Will practice as an independent provider in collaboration with a fellowship trained intensivist within diverse, skilled, inter-professional critical care teams. The environment is challenging and rewarding and allows the APP the opportunity to practice to the fullest extent of their scope of practice.

The Advanced Practice Provider (Critical Care) provides advanced care to critically ill patients usually in an ICU or Emergency Department or an intensive surgical area required strong procedural skills, critical thinking and the ability to manage high acuity patients independently under the collaboration with an intensivist. Requirements for this role include a master’s or doctoral degree as a Nurse Practitioner (Acute Care certification) or Physician Assistant with concentrated critical care experience or knowledge. Oversees the plan of care ordering tests, medications and treatments for complex conditions.

Responsibilities include obtaining medical histories, performing physical examinations, participating in inter-professional rounds, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, designing and implementing plans of care, and performing invasive procedures. Typical provider:patient ratio 1:6. Scheduled Hours 40 Position Summary We are looking for a full-time PA/NP to join our growing Orthopedic Injury Clinic! The WashU Orthopedic Injury Clinic is specifically designed to provide same day access to high level orthopedic care to our community. We treat patients ages 5+ with acute orthopedic injuries including fractures, strains/sprains, sports injuries and acute back/joint pain. Services include evaluation by an orthopedic specialist with on-site X-ray, splinting and casting. Sites may include Chesterfield, South County, and Sunset Hills.
