Unit Manager/Wound Nurse (RN) – Long-Term Care / Skilled Nursing

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Unit Manager (RN/LPN) to oversee clinical care and lead nursing staff within our long-term care/skilled nursing facility. This role is responsible for staff supervision, care coordination, clinical oversight, and resident outcomes, while supporting a high standard of care and regulatory compliance.
The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, clinical expertise, and a passion for geriatric care, along with the ability to guide and develop nursing staff in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and support LPNs and CNAs, ensuring high-quality resident care
Coordinate patient care plans, goals, and discharge planning
Provide hands-on clinical support and guidance to staff as needed
Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and leadership
Assist the Director of Nursing with department operations and staffing oversight
Participate in quality improvement (QI) initiatives, audits, and follow-up
Monitor and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Assist with resident assessments and care plan development
Lead and participate in staff education and in-service training programs
Support survey readiness and participate in state and regulatory surveys
Promote a safe, efficient, and positive work environment
Qualifications
Current RN license in Ohio (required)
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Prior nursing management or supervisory experience required
Strong knowledge of nursing practices, clinical procedures, and patient care standards
Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation preferred
Current CPR certification
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations
