
School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - New Milford, Connecticut

A dedicated nurse is needed to provide one-on-one care to a high school student as part of a full-time contract assignment, extending through June 19. Youll be assigned to just one school location, ensuring focused support and continuity for your student.
Key Qualifications:
- Current, valid RN or LPN license
- Recent experience caring for patients with a tracheal T-tube and performing suctioning is essential
- Confidence delivering compassionate, one-on-one care in an educational setting
- Prior experience in a school environment is a plus, but not required
- Strong communication skills to interact with students, staff, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver dedicated 1:1 nursing services to a high school student during school hours
- Monitor students health status and respond quickly to medical needs, including T-tube care and suctioning
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and related service providers as needed
- Maintain detailed, accurate records of care provided
- Support a safe and inclusive environment for the student
- Follow established protocols and participate in care planning
- Communicate regularly and clearly with family and school personnel
