Registered Nurse (RN) Wound Program Director(certification provided) Monday - Friday position (part-time considered) TRAVEL REIMBURSEMENT PROVIDED- on a weekly basis for those who live 30 miles away or more. Position Description: A Wound Care Registered Nurse plays a crucial role in a skilled rehab nursing home by overseeing and coordinating all aspects of wound care for residents. This position requires a highly skilled and knowledgeable individual who can provide comprehensive wound assessment, treatment, and education to promote optimal wound healing and resident well-being. A Wound Care Registered Nurse collaborates with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement effective wound care plans. Additionally, a Wound Care nurse stays up-to-date with the latest advancements in wound care management and ensures compliance with regulatory standards. Job Summary Provides direct and indirect patient care in the office setting to patients, families and caregivers in the Medical Group practice. Uses the nursing process consistent with acceptable standards of the profession and MVHS Medical Group. Provides high quality patient centered care that reflects initiative, flexibility and responsibility with a minimum amount of administrative supervision. Determines priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the system. Communicates with outpatient clinic physicians and NP/PAs (healthcare providers) about changes in patient’s status, symptomatology and results of diagnostic studies. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
